Words of wisdom and quotes from...

Neville Goddard

Neville Lancelot Goddard (1905-1972) was an influential Metaphysics teacher and New Thought/New Age author. n his early lectures and books Neville dealt solely with what he called The Law, the technique of creating one's physical reality through imagining. It is this portion of his expression that most closely accords with the teachings of the New Thought movement.

"Chance or accident is not responsible for the things that happen to you, nor is predestined fate the author of your fortune or misfortune. Your subconscious impressions determine the conditions of your world. The subconscious is not selective; it is impersonal and no respecter of persons. The subconscious is not concerned with the truth or falsity of your feeling. It always accepts as true that which you feel to be true. Feeling is the assent of the subconscious to the truth of that which is declared to be true. Because of this quality of the subconscious there is nothing impossible to man. Whatever the mind of man can conceive and feel as true, the subconscious can and must objectify. Your feelings create the pattern from which your world is fashioned, and a change of feeling is a change of pattern."

Neville Goddard

"If a man looks upon any other man and estimates that man as less than himself, then he is stealing from the other. He is stealing the other's birthright - that of equality."

Neville Goddard

"An awakened imagination works with a purpose. It creates and conserves the desirable, and transforms or destroys the undesirable."

Neville Goddard

"Nothing comes from without; all things come from within - from the subconscious."

Neville Goddard

"Man moves in a world that is nothing more or less than his consciousness objectified."

Neville Goddard

"Whenever your feeling is in conflict with your wish, feeling will be the victor."

Neville Goddard

"Through your ability to think and feel, you have dominion over all creation."

Neville Goddard

"A seed must be let go. I can’t hold in my hand, a seed must fall into the ground and die before it is made alive. You want something big in this world? Your holding on to it, it hasn’t dropped. (That’s why the big things don’t appear – you have a death grip on them.) – – It’s the little things that you don’t care about (that do). All the little insignificant things so you feeling intensely then you drop them because the other things are so big and so important."

Neville Goddard

"Be careful of your moods and feelings, for there is an unbroken connection between your feelings and your visible world."

Neville Goddard

"Feeling is the secret."

Neville Goddard

"All things are made by your imagination, for without imagining, nothing is made. Imagination is not limited to this level of consciousness. There are levels and levels of imagination, as your dreams and visions prove. This world is sustained by Divine Imagining, which is human imagining on a higher level. Our imagination is keyed low, but we are called upon to exercise this power, to examine ourselves to see if we are keeping our faith. On this level, faith is not complete until, through experiment, it becomes experience. Experiment with this statement: "Whatever you desire, believe you have received it and you will." (Mark 11) If faith is not complete until, through experiment it becomes experience, you must take an unseen objective and place it in an assemblage of mental states which would imply its fulfilment. Then this desire must be activated by entering into its center, feeling its reality, and walking in the faith that it will happen. I tell you: in a way you could not devise, what you have assumed will come into your world."
